- What is the ELD Mandate?
The ELD Mandate covered by the FMCSA rule 395.15 requires commercial motor vehicle operators who are covered by this mandate to use compliant Electronic Logging Device (ELD). Also, if requested by law enforcement, drivers must be able to present the required logs for the previous seven days, including the current one.

- What cellular network should I use?
You can use any cellular network!
- How do I download the TFM ELD mobile app?
For Android users: Open the Play Store app on your mobile device. Select the search bar at the top and type “TFM ELD”. Choose the TFM ELD app from the search results and tap “Install”.
For iOS (Apple) users: Open the App Store app on your mobile device. Select the search icon at the bottom and type “TFM ELD”. Tap “Get” and then “Install” next to the TFM ELD icon.
- How do I update the TFM ELD mobile app?
For Android users: Select the Play Store app on your mobile device. Tap the profile icon at the top-right corner and press “Manage apps & device”. Apps with an update available will be labeled as “Update available”, tap “See details” and choose to update the TFM ELD app.
For iOS (Apple) users: Select the App Store app on your mobile device. Tap your profile icon at the top-right corner and scroll down to see “Pending updates and release notes”. Tap “Update” next to the TFM ELD app.
- What devices can I use for the TFM ELD mobile app?
You can use both Android and Apple mobile devices. A computer cannot be used to run the TFM ELD mobile app. Your mobile device must have a connection to the internet (cellular data or mobile hotspot) and Bluetooth 4.0 or later.
- Can I be signed in to the TFM ELD mobile app with the same account on multiple devices?
You can only be signed in to your account on one device at a time. If you forgot to sign out of your previous device, you will be asked if you would like to proceed with login in your new device. If you choose to proceed, the application will log you out of your previous device.
- Why does my email address not work when I try to log in?
If you are trying to log in to the TFM ELD mobile app you should use username, which is created by your carrier on the TFM ELD website.
- I cannot remember my username, what should I do?
If you are an owner operator and remember your carrier account login credentials you can look up this information on the driver list using the TFM ELD website. If you are part of a larger fleet, contact your fleet manager and ask to look up this information for you. If all this fails, call us at 1 877 862 0020 and we will be happy to help!
- I cannot remember my password for my driver account on the TFM ELD mobile app, what should I do?
When you open the “Log in” section on the TFM ELD mobile app, there is a link below the text field called “Forgot your password?”, tap on it. You will be asked to enter your email address or username, after you enter it, select submit. An email to reset your password will be sent if there is a driver account created with the email address you entered.
- How do I change the password for my Driver account?
Select “Menu” on the TFM ELD mobile app and tap on “Change password”. You will be asked to confirm your current password and add a new one.
- How do I log out of the TFM ELD mobile app?
Select “Menu” on the TFM ELD mobile app and tap "Log Out", you will see a pop-up window to confirm your action.
- How do I connect my phone or tablet to the TFM ELD hardware?
After logging in to the application, connect to your TFM ELD hardware by selecting your unit number on the screen. For successful connection, you will need Bluetooth and location services enabled on your device.
- How do I enable Bluetooth on my mobile device?
For Android users: Go to the Settings app and tap “Bluetooth”. At the top of the page, you will see a toggle to turn Bluetooth on. If your Bluetooth is off, select that toggle and turn it on.
For iOS (Apple) users: Go to the Settings app and tap “Bluetooth”. At the top of the page, there will be a toggle to turn Bluetooth on. If your Bluetooth is off, select that toggle and turn it on.
- What if I use my truck professionally and personally?
The TFM ELD mobile app has a duty status called Personal Conveyance that drivers can utilize in order to operate the truck for personal use. This duty status is turned off by default, and must be turned on for each driver individually on the TFM ELD fleet dashboard.
- How do I sign a log?
If the log has not been signed, it will have a red dot on the Signature field, on the top of your main screen, tap on it and you will be taken to the window, where you can add your signature. If you agree with the statement on the "Sign Log" page, use your finger to create a signature then click the “Submit” button.
- Why I cannot find Personal Conveyance or Yard Move as duty status options?
Both Personal Conveyance and Yard Move must be activated individually for each driver using a carrier account.
- How do I email my driving logs?
To email your logs, go to “Inspection Module” on the main menu of the TFM ELD mobile app. Once you are on the Inspection Module Setup page, insert email address and press “Send Logs”.
- What do I need for the DOT inspection?
TFM ELD DOT Reference Card might be helpful to show an officer how to obtain your logs. There are 3 different ways to do it:
- Tap “Begin Inspection” to let an officer view your logs directly from your device;
- Tap “Send Logs” to email a copy of your logs to an officer;
- Tap “Send Output File” to submit your ELD output file to the DOT via web services.
Carrier account related questions
- How do I edit the company information I added to my account when I created it?
Press the profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen. Tap “Edit Company” and change all the information you need. Make sure you select “OK” at the bottom of the page after changing the information.
- How do I add a driver?
Click “ELD” on the left side menu, then select “Drivers”. Once you select this, tap “Add driver” at the top-right corner of the screen, after that, fill up all required information. Once you are done, select “OK”.
- How do I turn on Personal Conveyance and Yard Moves for my drivers?
Click “ELD” on the left side menu, then tap “Drivers”. Select an active driver by clicking “Edit”. The driver account will open. At the bottom of the page, you can enable “Personal Conveyance” and “Yard Moves” by marking its check boxes. When you have completed editing the driver information, click “OK”.
- How can I delete a driver account?
Click “ELD” on the left side menu, then select “Drivers”. On the right side, you will find the “Deactivate” option for each of the drivers.
- How do I view my driver logs?
Click “ELD” on the left side menu, then tap “Logs”. Driver logs are automatically sorted by date, in addition to that they can be filtered by driver name, vehicle, shift etc. To see more information about a specific log, press on it.
- How do I search for a log from a specific date range?
Click “ELD” on the left side menu, then select “Logs”. There will be a “Date Range” button at the top-right corner of the screen. To enter a date range, select that button, choose both start and end dates for your range and click “Apply”.
- How do I tell if my driver has signed a log?
Click “ELD” on the left side menu, after that select “Logs”. You can see whether or not a log has been signed in the Errors & Violations column on your right. If a log has not been signed, there will be an error.
- How do I track the location of my vehicle(s)?
You can check the location of your vehicles by choosing “All Units” on the left side menu.
- How can I generate an IFTA report?
To generate an IFTA report you have to select “Reports” on the left side menu, after that, click “New Report” at the top-right corner of the screen, a pop-up window will show up. You have to select date range, report type, vehicles, states and click “Generate” to complete your report.
- Will your system let us track fuel purchases?
Currently the TFM ELD application does not track fuel purchases.
